General Patient Instructions
The guidelines that follow relate to all services. You can find preparation instructions for specific exams by clicking the links below.
- All examinations except standard X-rays are by appointment only. Please bring your health insurance card and a requisition form from your healthcare provider.
- Please arrive on time, and kindly call us if you are unable to keep your appointment time. Late arrivals may necessitate rebooking.
- We strive at all times to stay on schedule; however, examinations occasionally take longer than anticipated. Please allow plenty of time for your appointment.
- Wear or bring comfortable clothing without metal buttons, buckles or zippers, which may overlie the area being examined.
- Please inform us of any mobility limitation prior to your examination.
- Please do not bring any child requiring supervision during your examination.
- Please do not wear any fragrance, as other patients may be sensitive or allergic.
- PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS: Stay on prescribed medications. However, if you are diabetic, and your exam requires a fasting or "clear liquids only" diet, request an early morning booking time, and discuss possible stoppage or reduction of insulin with your physician.
- WEIGHT LIMITATIONS: These limitations apply only to examinations requiring your entire weight on the examination table. Some exams may be performed without putting full weight on the table. Call for more information.
- 325 pounds (146.25 kilograms) for radiography, fluoroscopy, nuclear imaging and ultrasonography
- 430 pounds (193.50 kilograms) for MRI and CT
- 265 pounds (119.25 kilograms) for densitometry
