As an employee you have access to an annual allocation for professional development and we reimburse your annual professional dues. We are committed to helping you achieve the technical expertise required for your role by providing various training resources through internal and external providers. Each modality has an internal training program that will expand your skill set and confidence within certain specialties, such as breast imaging, MSK, vascular, nuchal translucency, elastography, bone mineral densitometry, mammography, and pain therapy. We also offer educationally accredited CPD and CME rounds for MRT and DMS employees. We support continuous learning and encourage external training options that enhance your expertise and further your self-development through Burwin courses, mammography certification, and more, including leadership development within our technical and administrative environments.
In addition to technical training, all employees have access to a Mayfair-exclusive course catalogue that offers a variety of core and optional self-development, leadership, and soft-skill training online courses. They help ensure you are fully trained in what you need to master your job, but also allow you to expand your knowledge in other areas of interest. Topics include health and safety legislation, including workplace bullying, harassment, and violence; and courses to help with time management, communication, psychological well-being, and other skills. Leadership development courses for high-potential, high-performance employees are also available as part of the Mayfair course catalogue, which can be supplemented by external community training.

It helps strongly — experience with imaging workflows, PACS, RIS, medical device connectivity, DICOM, and patient data systems is often highly valued.
Regular business hours for many tasks, but for support of imaging/clinical systems there may be off-hours work, on-call for critical issues, or occasional weekend/after-hours.
Depends on employer. Some roles allow remote or hybrid for portions of the work, especially for software, networking, or system maintenance tasks; hands-on hardware or in-clinic work will require presence.
Systems often include RIS/PACS, DICOM viewers, network and server infrastructure, EMR/EHR systems, possibly Epic or other large clinical platforms.
Depends on experience and role level (junior / senior / management). Typically mid to senior IT roles in healthcare in Calgary can range from CAD ~$70,000 to over $110,000+ annually for more senior positions plus benefits.
