Radiologist compensation is among the higher-paid physician roles. In Calgary, rates can vary widely depending on specialty, seniority, whether work is in hospitals vs clinics, etc. Figures in job postings suggest CAD ~$300,000+ annually is typical in many full-time positions.
In many practices, yes. Some work can be done remotely (reading scans off-site); however hands-on work, interventional procedures, or certain imaging modalities still require in-person presence.
You’ll collaborate with technologists, imaging assistants, administrative staff, other physicians, referring clinicians. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.
