CELEBRATING COMMUNITY IN 2024

As we wrap up 2024, we are grateful for the support and participation of everyone who joined us at community events throughout the year. Together, we promoted health, wellness, and the importance of early detection, ensuring a healthier future for all. We would also like to extend a special thank you to our partners, whose support made many of these local community programs possible.

Here’s a look back at the impactful events Mayfair participated in 2024.

• Calgary Roughnecks LadyCrosse – March 21
  A fun and informative evening where participants had the chance to learn lacrosse from the pros on the Roughnecks turf.
• CSSC Trivia Night
  Members of the CSSC enjoyed a night of challenging and fun trivia questions, testing their knowledge on a variety of topics, including some medical imaging.
• Calgary National Women’s Show – April 13-14
  As the presenting sponsor, Mayfair had a booth at this exciting event, which featured fashion shows, celebrity guests, wellness sessions, cooking demos, décor advice, and more. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community and educate attendees about our services.
• Cochrane Seniors Week – June 3-9
  Cochrane Seniors Week celebrated the vibrant contributions of seniors to the community. Throughout the week, seniors were invited to attend events and programs free of charge.
• Pregnancy Infant Loss & Support Centre 3^rd Annual Walk/Run – June 23
  This emotional event raised $116,361.60 to support the Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre (PILSC). It brought together the community to raise awareness about the impacts of infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss.
• Calgary Surge Sponsored Game – July 19
  The Calgary Surge sponsored game by Mayfair Diagnostics supported the Calgary Surge Assist program that provides families and kids with tickets, transportation and the experience to cheer on their local basketball team in person.
• MUDGIRL – August 24-25
  A fun obstacle run dedicated to women and supporting breast cancer awareness. Mayfair had a team of employees participate in the event and also sponsored a booth to educate attendees about our breast imaging and mammography services as well as the importance of early detection.
• Cavalry FC Pink Out! Match – September 28
  The Cavalry FC match raised awareness about cancers affecting women and the importance of early detection. Fans were encouraged to wear pink to the game, pick up pink noisemakers, and visit our booth.
• Canada Women’s Expo – October 4-6
  The Canada Women’s Expo featured celebrity speakers, fashion shows, and stage presentations. As presenting sponsor Mayfair had a booth to engage with attendees and provide valuable health information, as well as visit with on of our partners, the Calgary Stampeders to receive an autographed mini football.
• Run for the Cure Regina – October 5
  Mayfair’s Regina team joined the Run for the Cure, raising funds for breast cancer research. We also sponsored a booth to share information on the addition of diagnostic breast imaging services in Regina. The event raised over $15 million for those affected by breast cancer.
• Calgary Stampeders PinkPower – October 12
  At the PinkPower game, Mayfair helped raise awareness for breast cancer and its impact, while contributing to Wellspring Alberta with proceeds from limited-edition Stampeders merchandise.
• Calgary Wranglers Hockey Fights Cancer – November 9
  This event raised funds and awareness for cancer research, emphasizing the importance of early detection. Before the game, Mayfair sold autographed white pucks with all proceeds going to support cancer-related causes.
• Calgary Flames Hockey Fights -Cancer – November 21
  Mayfair participated in this long-running initiative to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Hockey Fights Cancer™ has been a powerful force in uniting the sports community in the fight against cancer.
• Holiday Giving Campaign
  As part of our annual tradition, Mayfair supported local charitable organizations by making monetary donations and collecting items. This year, our campaign benefited Secret Seniors Service, Dress for Success Calgary, Seniors for Kids Cochrane, Regina Food for Learning, and Kids Haven Society in Saskatoon.
