Home WHAT TO EXPECT DURING AN MSK ULTRASOUND
Marco Carducci, Cavalry FC goalkeeper, helps demonstrate what happens during a shoulder musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound. This exam uses sound waves to assess the tendons and ligaments in the shoulder, including the rotator cuff. It will evaluate the shoulder for fluid, inflammation, or tears.
It may be ordered to investigate pain, swelling, or other symptoms, and can be the first step in determining the cause for symptoms affecting the muscles and joints in the shoulder.
