WHAT TO EXPECT DURING MYOCARDIAL PERFUSION IMAGING

Myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) is a non-invasive way to detect and assess coronary artery disease. During MPI, you are injected with a small amount of a radioactive substance that attaches to your heart muscle.

It can help your doctor determine how severe your coronary artery disease might be and how much of your heart is affected. This test is performed over two days.
